Jodeme Goldhar

Jodeme thrives when she’s working with communities, systems and groups to create a shared vision to tackle the tough challenges and pressures that our society is facing today. Organizations and communities need to embrace the complexity of their environment and lean into the opportunities to integrate and intersect with others to create seamless services and experiences. Population health and wellness cannot be achieved without a shared commitment, combined effort and radical collaboration across communities and systems. Jodeme brings over 25 years of experience in health and social care and health policy on a local, national and international stage. She is the Co-Founder of IFIC Canada, the North American Centre for Integrated Care at the University of Toronto’s Dalla Lana School of Public Health and serves on the Board and is Treasurer for the International Foundation for Integrated Care.  She is a leadership coach, and serves as a Strategic Advisor, Capability Builder, Convenor and break through Facilitator. Jodeme is a Fellow of Dr. Helen Bevan, Adjunct Faculty at the University of Toronto’s Institute for Health Policy, Management and Evaluation and is part of the leadership team for the Health Leadership Academy at Mc Master University, a nationally unique partnership between the DeGroote School of Business and the Faculty of Health Sciences. Jodeme was the recipient of the Universal Woman’s Network national ‘Catalyst for Change’ award.  She was nominated for this award by the many communities she collaborates with to enable them to reach the goals of integration and population health.

Dr. Alex Anawati

Dr. Alex Anawati has dedicated most of his career to advancing social accountability as the equity-oriented health policy strategy for health system change and leads this work in many ways including as the Principal Investigator and Co-Lead for the SAFE for Health Institutions Project. He is a charter class graduate from the Northern Ontario School of Medicine University (NOSMU) and is an Emergency Physician in Sudbury, Northern Ontario who also helps deliver primary care to people who are unhoused. Dr. Anawati led a community call-to-action that resulted in the academic health sciences centre Health Sciences North (HSN) prioritizing social accountability in their 2018-2024 strategic plan and has since been appointed Clinician Lead for Social Accountability and has been further strengthening the institution’s social accountability strategy. An Associate Professor at NOSMU Dr. Anawati regularly teaches undergraduate and postgraduate learners around key topics linked to social accountability. His academic, scholarly, administrative activities include completing two terms as a member of NOSMU’s Board of Directors, current Deputy Speaker of the Academic Senate and the Global Health Coordinator. He was a founding member and now Physician Lead for Policy, Advocacy and Leadership of NOSMU’s research focused Centre for Social Accountability, which has since received a $3M donation from the Temetry foundation and has been renamed the Dr. Gilles Arcand Centre for Health Equity. He is a member of the Association of Medical Education of Europe’s ASPIRE for Excellence in Social Accountability Panel and has been a member of the College of Family Physicians of Canada’s Social Accountability Working Group. Dr. Anawati was recognized as one of Sudbury’s 40 Under Forty for his work on social accountability in medicine. He has delivered over 25 presentations, plenary talks, workshops and acted as a panelist in a number of local, provincial, national and international forums and has authored a number of articles on social accountability in health care.

Gillian gives legal advice on privacy, risk management, credentialing and policy issues. Gillian has a comedian’s stand-up style and astute risk radar. Gillian was in-house counsel at a large teaching hospital and at a leading-edge health tech company. She is also an instructor in Something Orange Training Inc.»
